Tears for the Tear Duct
Written by Bev Gray

When my daughter was 2 weeks old she had an eye problem that forced us to go to 7 doctors in 7 days. It ended with her having her tear duct drained.

While she was having the procedure my sweet husband stayed in the room with her and comforted her. I, on the other hand, stood in the hallway and cried. I should point out that the procedure took less than 5 minutes.

The nurse walked out, saw me and said, “Aww, she’s fine.” And I sobbed back, “I know, but I’m not!”

I suddenly got it. I was going to feel twice her pain and cry two tears for every one she shed for the rest of my life.
