My husband and I are hardly ever surprised by the words that emanate from our vocal daughter's 18-month old mouth. Bath time on September 1 began just like any other session. Its conclusion however was more gratifying than any we had experienced before. My husband said to me, "I love you." Our submerged-in-suds daughter looked up and beamed, "I dove du!" It was at that moment that our hearts melted completely. It was also precisely then that we realized how much our every action, word, deed, expressed emotion, reaction, and facial response consequently affect, alter, and shape our little one.
